Stone Street STRUMMERS Banjo Band
                               Founded 1981 by Dick Alley
  The Stone Street Strummers Band  presents an unforgettable concert featuring  songs from an era encompassing the roaring 20's to New Orleans style jazz and of course Dixieland.  We call it happy music because it has that foot- stomping beat that gets our audiences clapping, singing and participating.  The band includes singers, solo instrumentalists, and the best banjo strummers in New England.  We've recently added a brass section to round out that big band sound.  
 

The band has amassed a collection of over 300 songs in our songbook, and new ones are tried out and added on a regular basis.  On occasion, we may even take requests from the audience.

You'll hear everything from gospel and spirituals to polkas, traditional sing-alongs, show tunes and lots of traditional jazz.  We even do a medley of waltz tunes for your dancing and listening enjoyment.

In addition we offer a variety of specialized programs that could include seasonal favorites, i.e. Christmas songs, patriotic and ethnic requests.
